Topic

It is January 2015. What do you see as the major health policy challenges still facing the nation? Please identify the top two priorities and discuss how they should be addressed.

Review and Evaluation

Finalist entries were judged by a panel of professionals with experience in health policy and politics, including Jonathan Cohn of the New Republic; Sheila Burke, of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government; Ruth Katz, Congressional staffer and former Dean of the George Washington University School of Public Health; Drew Altman, Kaiser Family Foundation president and CEO; and Diane Rowland, Kaiser Family Foundation executive vice president.  The judges evaluated essays on originality, expression of ideas, strength of argument, and clarity.
